Growing up with two architect parents, Chloe Coltharp has been fed a healthy diet of art, architecture, and design. Regularly dragged to museums and renowned buildings, Chloe now finds inspiration from her upbringing by exploring how art, specifically the Renaissance and Post- Impressionism, can be incorporated into modern clothing designs. Chloe's interest in costume, in particular, is tied to storytelling and literature. The idea of expressing the outer part of an inner life, shown in a story, is really appealing to her. She gives care to bring out a part of that personal life through the clothing, expressing something beyond caricatures, something linked to nostalgia and interiority, familiarity.

Chloe graduated from Drexel University in 2021, majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in Art History. As a freshman, she was nominated for the Drexel Design Award for Design I and Design II and had a nonfiction work published in the Maya Literary Magazine. As a sophomore, she had an experimental and sustainable piece in the Drexel fashion show, and took a footwear course at London College of Fashion. As a junior, she participated in a sustainable design collaboration with students at Sungkyunkwan University and was selected to submit her portfolio to CFDA. As a senior, she completed a three look costume collection and was awarded Best Fashion Illustrations at Drexel's 2021 Fashion show.
